After Strixhaven also Adventure in the Forgotten Realms is bringing a new card in my Kykar… and the change is directly linked to my Strixhaven’s update.
In this post I will show you the single card upgrade I did to the deck with this new set.
+ You find the Villains’ Lair, – Remand
Adventures in the Forgotten Realms ends up adding a lot of modal cards to give the player a similar freedom in the choice that he has when playing Dungeons & Dragons. You find the Villains’ Lair is a modal counterspell that, if we don’t want to counter, let us draw to and discard two.
With the introduction of Velomachus in the deck I always have the fear that the counterspells could go wasted and so I decided to introduce this one to have an alternative if I revealed it with the dragon.
I decided to remove Remand as it was severely underperforming in the deck: the card draw was nice but the fact that it bounced the spell back to hand made it useless to counter certain spells.
