We start with a cute flashback between the two about their exams, but it’s really short and we are immediately back to the tournament.
I’m really liking this game and you can see a lot how they matured from the beginning of the series. They started with simple mono-colored decks while right now they are playing more advanced tech. I really liked that Living Death’s turn from Hajime. The illustration of Hajime with all the reanimated creatures is so cool!
Emi conceding the first game like this is also another thing that really shows their maturity: making some tactical choices outside of the gameplay.
I’m really liking the flashbacks in between the battle! It shows us how many emotions from the players are involved in the game!
Hajime however is on fire and the battle seemed pretty much one-sided… until that Cataclysm! I was wondering if they would get to game 3 and that play changed everything! Sneak Attack is such a cool card that still sees a lot of play these days!
This chapter was amazing! I hope the next one will be translated soon!
